Luke and I are going to be starting lessons and serious training this week. He has been enjoying peeking out at me from behind the stall bars and from inside the paddock way too much. One hour a day from now on. If we are going to event next year, even at novice level, we have a LOT of work to do! In case you don't know, I bought Luke a little over a month ago and just started him under saddle a little over two weeks ago. He is really great and already knows walk, trot, canter and is wonderful on trails, but he is six years old and gets very upset if I try to make him trot for more than two or three laps, or canter when he just wants to walk. He really is a drama queen!
We have a lesson with Andrea Cole on Tuesday, which is just the beginning for us. I am going to work with several trainers over the winter, but I think Andrea is the perfect person to help both of us with our dressage. Neither Luke nor I is very patient when it comes to such things. I can't wait for Tuesday!!!

Luke is a very good looking horse! Good luck and have fun training! I am just getting into it myself although I have a long way to go.
